Position: Head of Bioinformatics


Skills and background:


A bioinformatics scientist and manager specialising in study design, classification, statistical and functional integration of high-dimensional biological (omics) data. Line management and project management/operations experience in client-facing roles.


Technical skills

Experience of analysing e.g.:

  • Transcriptomic data from qPCR, microarray and RNASeq
  • Genomic data from microarray and DNASeq
  • Proteomic data from microarray, LC-MS-(MS) and IHC
  • Metabolomic data from NMR, GC-MS-(MS) and LC-MS-(MS)
  • Data integration of multiple data types

Programming expertise in e.g.:

  • R/Bioconductor
  • perl
  • Java
